New water projects implemented in Batken

AKIPRESS.COM - New water supply projects are being implemented in Batken region by the Department of Water Resources and Land Reclamation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
One of such projects is improving agricultural productivity and nutrition financed by the World Bank.
Specialists say that the drop irrigation saves up to 60% of water and increases harvest twice.
More than 1500 farms of the country started using the drop irrigation. Kyrgyzstan has more than 3000 hectares of cultivated areas.
