Parliament of Kazakhstan concerned over security of schoolchildren after rape in school

AKIPRESS.COM - Members of the Mazhilis of Kazakhstan raised the issues of security of schoolchildren after the rape of school girl in Taraz, Zakon.kz reports.
The 12-year-old school girl was raped on the territory of her school during the day time by an unknown man. The incident occurred in the outdoor toilet of the school.
In this regard, the Parliament members appealed to the Prime Minister Askar Mamin.
According to the parliamentarians, to sack the school staff is a common action of the officials - to find and punish those guilty.
However, the Mazhilis members says that the problem of unprotectednеss of children including in schools is due to the professional immaturity and negligence of all those, who should just close the access for child rapists to the educational organizations.
MPs ask to pay attention to the fact that today schoolchildren from 2,300 schools in Kazakhstan that have outdoor toilets might face the same risk.
The Parliament members noted that everyone working in the schools are responsible for safety of children. When the girl was raped, there was no inspector in the school.
In this regard, the lawmakers ask to take a complex of measures, including providing schools with indoor toilets.
