New electrical substation to appear outside Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - Uchkun electrical substation will be built outside Bishkek near the village of Novopokrovka, the Director of the Chuy high voltage power grid company Talaibek Ibrayev told reporters during the press tour to the Ala-Archa electrical substation.
It will be an additional substation to the group of the Ala-Arch substations 220 kWt.
Chuy region is expanding and therefore, the measures must be taken to ensure electricity supply uninterrupted, he said.
The new substation will be at least 63 MW, maximum 150 MW, he said.
Financial details of this project are not known yet, though the Japanese investors are discussing possible participation in it.
