AKIPRESS.COM - A ten-day campaign on provision of free legal assistance to population was launched in Kyrgyzstan on Nov 18, organized by Justice Ministry and conducted by the center for coordination of legal assistance guaranteed by state under the Justice Ministry. 771 people received legal consultations and 5 citizens received professional services following the first day of the campaign, said Justice Ministry.
136 people received legal assistance in Osh region, 57 people in Issyk-Kul region, 236 people in Jalal-Abad region, 120 people in Naryn region, 64 people in Batken region, 132 in the Talas region and 35 people seek legal advice in Bishkek city.
Citizens most often were interested in the issues of registration of disability, pension, taxes and registration of individual enterprise. The residents in the regions were interested in issues of inheritance, land dispute, divorce, compensation for moral and material damage and guardianship.
The campaign is aimed at increasing the level of legal safety to vulnerable population, provision of legal assistance, legal education, ensuring access to justice, assistance in realizing the rights, freedoms and legal interests of citizens.
