Karakol town marks 30th anniversary of Convention on Rights of Child

AKIPRESS.COM - An event was held in Karakol town of the Issyk-Kul region on occasion of 30th anniversary of Convention on the Rights of the Child and 25th anniversary of ratification of the Convention by Kyrgyzstan, Turmush reports. The representatives of local authority, social workers and parents discussed the children's rights and work conducted in this area.
"This year, the kindergarten designed for 120 children is under construction. In addition, 12 play grounds were built. All conditions are created for children," said the mayor of the town Adil Kanimetov.
135 children with disabilities study in 10 schools of the town, including 18 children study at home, said regional education coordinate Jenish Urumov.
A resolution was adopted following the event.
