Woman publicly gives up jihadist ideology, GKNB says

AKIPRESS.COM - Supporter of religious extremist organization publicly gave up jihadist ideology, the National Security Committee said.
The active work on de-radicalization of members of terrorist and extremist organizations jailed in Kyrgyzstan is under way together with the State Penitentiary Service, the statement said.
A woman jailed to 3 years in prison in April 2019 for participation in armed hostilities in a foreign country has recently given up the jihadist ideology publicly, the statement said.
"The woman repented and admitted the erroneous, useless and utopian nature of this ideology, and called on the people especially young ones to beware of the negative influence of various religious-extremist ideology," the statement said.
