Kazakhstan, Vietnam discuss parliamentarian cooperation

AKIPRESS.COM - Speaker of the Kazakh Parliament Nurlan Nigmatulin during his official visit to Vietnam held talks with Chairperson of the National Assembly of Vietnam Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân, Mazhilis reported.
The sides discussed the promising areas of interparliamentary cooperation.
Vietnam is an important partner of Kazakhstan in the Southeastern Asia, Nigmatulin said.
The Chairperson of the National Assembly of Vietnam underlined the special role of the First President Nursultan Nazarbayev in establishment and development of bilateral relations.
Nigmatulin said that the agreement on free trade zone between the EAEU and Vietnam gave a boost to strengthening of partnership between the two countries.
The sides also discussed cooperation in the framework of the UN, the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-building Measures in Asia, the Association of South East Asian Nations.
Free visa regime of citizens of the two countries and a direct air communication between Kazakhstan and Vietnam were in the agenda as well.
