AKIPRESS.COM - The aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and Qatar held talks today in Doha, the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan said.
The delegation of Qatar was led by President of Qatar Civil Aviation Authority Abdulla Nasser Turki Al Subaey.
The delegation of Kazakhstan was led by Civil Aviation Committee Chairman Talgat Lastaev.
Representatives of Qatar Airways, Air Astana, Almaty Airport partook in the talks as well.
The agreements were signed on 7 regular Nur-Sultan-Doha regular flights a week, 7 Almaty-Doha regular flights a week, 7 freight flight a week and the on the fifth degree of air openness as part of open skies policy launched by Kazakhstan.
Qatar Airways Vice President Fathi Atii said the first flights between Nur-Sultan and Doha are expected to be launched in December. This will allow passengers from Kazakhstan to fly to 160 world destinations.
