Kairat Mami appointed Chairman of Association of Asian Constitutional Courts

AKIPRESS.COM - Chairman of the Constitutional Council of Kazakhstan Kairat Mami is taking part in the 3rd Indonesian Constitutional Court International Symposium, Zakon.kz reports.
Mami held talks with Chairman of the Indonesian Constitutional Court Anvar Usman as part of the visit. They discussed implementation of functions of the constitutional bodies of the countries. As a result of the talks, they signed a cooperation memorandum between the Constitutional Courts of Kazakhstan and Indonesia.
During the session of the committee of members of the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions (AACC), the Constitutional Court of Kazakhstan was elected as Chairman of the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions for the next 2 years.
The next meeting of the Congress of the Association will be held in Nur-Sultan in 2020.
