Chuy region police chief severely injured during Atambayev's house storming awarded medal for heroism

AKIPRESS.COM - Samat Kurmankulov, chief of Chuy region police department, was awarded the medal Erdik (heroism), president ruled.
Kurmankulov was awarded for his contribution to the protection of public safety and responsible performance of his duties.
Kurmankulov was severely injured and hospitalized in critical condition on the evening of August 7 in the village of Koi-Tash during the first attempt to storm ex-President Almazbek Atambayev's house.
On August 12, he was transported to Moscow for treatment.
