Lawmakers reprimand Ministry of Health after mass resignation of Batken doctors

AKIPRESS.COM - Some 47 doctors out of 54 resigned in Batken regional hospital due to the low salaries, MP Taabaldy Tillayev (Respublika - Ata-Jurt) said today at the Parliament session. According to him, a mass resignation was due to the lack of social support and low salaries.
The parliamentarian said that the government should consider salaries of doctors and police officers.
"The situation with the mass dismissal of doctors showed that the Ministry of Health is not aware of problems in healthcare sector," MP Bakyt Torobayev (Onuguu-Progsess) said.
This is not a problem of only Batken region, but also a problem of all regions, he said.
According to him, the Ministry of Health is carrying out very poor work.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health reported that the Batken regional hospital operates in normal mode.
