Tajik President, Secretary of Security Council of Russia discuss ties

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with Secretary of Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev to discuss cooperation issues.
Collective measures should be taken to combat modern threats, address regional security problems, and strengthen the defense capacity of Tajikistan's border guards in connection with the threat posed from the side of Afghanistan. The integration of security councils of both countries in this direction was also considered important, the president's office said.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation within the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Commonwealth of Independent States and Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The issues related to the development of military and military-technical cooperation and the strengthening of ties between the law enforcement agencies were also discussed at the meeting.
