General Prosecutor's Office ceases probe against deputy governor of Almaty region

AKIPRESS.COM - The General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan has closed the case against deputy governor of Almaty region Bagdat Manzorov, Informburo.kz reported.
According to Deputy Prosecutor General Marat Akhmetzhanov, the probe was stopped due to the absence of a criminal act.
A submission was made in the anti-corruption service that launched the case and investigated.
In late September 2019, the First Deputy Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Service Olzhas Bektenov on the sidelines of the Senate reported that deputy governor of Almaty region Bagdat Manzorov was detained.
Later it was reported that Manzorov is accused of large scale fraud with power abuse.
