Dushanbe hosts meeting of CSTO Foreign Ministers’ working group on Afghanistan

AKIPRESS.COM - Dushanbe hosted the 30th meeting of the Working Group on Afghanistan of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization on Oct 29-30, the Tajik Foreign Ministry reports.
The meeting took place with participation of the National Coordinators for Afghanistan of the CSTO Member States, officials of the CSTO Secretariat, as well as representatives of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia and the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The participants of the meeting discussed issues related to the military and political situation in Afghanistan, as well as stressed the need to continue the process of consolidating the efforts of CSTO Member States on Afghanistan both bilaterally and within the specialized international bodies.
