Water meters to be installed at expenses of Bishkek residents: Bishkekvodokanal

AKIPRESS.COM - The water meters will be installed at the expenses of subscribers, said the deputy head of the Bishkekvodokanal subscriber services department Inna Baiburina said on air of Birinchi Radio on Oct 28. According to her, the residents may monitor the consumption of water due to this appliance. The water meters are sold at the bazaar for 600 soms and above, also Bishkekvodokanal can install water meters for 2,100 soms.
"The installation will be at the expense of the residents. Bishkekvodokanal does not cover all expenses. The enterprise has loss of 92 million soms in 2018," she said.
According to Baiburina, only 36% of the population have water meter devices.
