Street named after ex-Interior Minister Kongantiyev in police town

AKIPRESS.COM - One of the streets in the police town was named after ex-Interior Minister Moldomusa Kongantiyev. According to spokeswoman of Kok-Jar village council Irina Kameneva, the street was named 2 years ago with the participation of local residents.
"The prominent general Jusup Akmatov, who passed away and general Moldomusa Kongatiyev contributed to the establishment of the town, so some streets were named after them. The locals gathered, put signatures and proposed to members of local council. The local council approved the proposal. All the resident were informed that after population census in April 2020, they may rename the street," she said.
