President Berdimuhamedov to pay working visit to Azerbaijan

AKIPRESS.COM - President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will pay a working visit to Azerbaijan on Oct 25, where he will take part in the XVIII summit of the non-aligned Movement in Baku, the state news agency of Turkmenistan reports.
Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the diverse partnership within the framework of authoritative international organizations. Among them is the non-aligned movement, which unites the countries of the world on the principles of non-participation in military and political blocs and consolidation of efforts to ensure universal security and well-being.
The participation of the head of state in the summit in Baku will be another manifestation of Turkmenistan's active position in solving urgent problems of our time, forming balanced approaches to determining effective partnership formats taking into account national interests and global development priorities.
The President stressed that Turkmenistan strictly adheres to the basic principles of its neutral status in the international arena, close to the postulates of the non-aligned Movement and noted the importance of the upcoming summit for the development of solutions to topical issues of the global agenda.
