Kazakhstan plans to switchover to 12-year school education in 2021

AKIPRESS.COM - Schools of Kazakhstan can not switchover to a 12-year education without teh preliminary preparation, Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aigamambetov said on Monday during the Parliament session, Vlast.kz reported.
The transition will occur only in 2021, he said.
According to him, launching of the 12-year education without any preparation now leads to big problems taking into account additional load on school infrastructure, staff preparation, edition of new books and so on.
"As it is assigned in the plan, there is a plan to introduce the 12-year education in our country. We should start the 12-year program of education after all grades from 1st to 11th switch to a new program," Aimagambetov noted.
