Parliament members against medical faculties in non-major universities

AKIPRESS.COM - A number of Parliament members on October 21 at the session of the parliamentary committee on budget and finance spoke againt opening of medical departments in non-major universities in Kyrgyzstan, Bilim AKIpress said.
According to them, the Ministry of Health is the only institution, which should makes a policy of issuing educational licenses to universities for launching medical departments.
MP Muradil Mademinov (SDPK party) offered the Ministry of Health to mainstream the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy.
According to him, the quality of medical education falls due to a number of medical faculties in the country.
He believes that the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy should be the only institution, which prepares doctors.
