"Tokayev is not a second Nazarbayev" – Minister of Information of Kazakhstan on ‘dual power’

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Information and Social Development of Kazakhstan Dauren Abayev during the interview with state-run TV channel Khabar commented on the discourse of ‘dual power'm which was touched by Nursultan Nazarbayev in his interview. According to the Minister, there are a number of anonymous channels that spurred artificial hype around this (dual power).
"First of all, there is no and will no any interference from Nazarbayev's side into the President's work. All of this are restricted by Constitutional norms. Socondly, Tokayev is not a second Nazarbayev. He has his own style of management, own view, therefore, there is no need to raise an uproar over duality of power everytime, when the President uses new formats in his work. Thirdly, the first president himself told and Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich also always claims that he consults with Nazarbayev on the most important issues and this is due the huge experience of Nursultan Abishevich. Today, he is aksed for advices from leaders of other countries too, I know this," Abayev noted.
