Citizen of Tajikistan sentenced to 15 years in prison in Russia for assaulting policeman

AKIPRESS.COM - A 25-year-old citizen of Tajikistan was sentenced to 15 years in prison in Russia for assaulting a police office, who tried to detain him,Boshkortostan prosecutor's office said.
The Supreme Court of Russia's Boshkortostan sentenced a Tajik national to 15 years in prison on October 16 for drug trafficking attempt and assaulting a police officer.
The incident took place in September last year in the city of Dyurtyuli. The drug trafficker reportedly stabbed police officer several times in the stomach and chest when the latter tried to detain him.
The detainee partially pleaded guilty.
