Amendments to agreement between Kazakhstan and Russia on border crossing procedures ratified

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a law on ratification of a protocol on amendments to the agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Russia on the procedure of crossing the Kazakh-Russian border by residents of bordering zones dated October 3, 2006, Akorda said.
The amendments says that citizens of Kazakhstan while crossing the Kazakh-Russian border are obliged to provide their registration document in addition to identity documents or passports.
The protocol was introduced to regulate the process of border crossing by Kazakh citizens living in bordering territories with Russia in connection with changes of some laws and regulations of Kazakhstan.
