Almazbek Atambayev interrogated only within Aziz Batukaev’s case

Former president of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev has not been questioned in any criminal case other than illegal release of the kingpin Aziz Batukaev. Lawyer Sergey Slesarev told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, these are criminal cases instituted on the facts of riots in Koi-Tash village, modernization of the Bishkek HPP, illegal transactions with land and other acts allegedly incriminated to the former head of state.

Almazbek Atambayev is accused of particularly serious crimes: violence against law enforcement officers, murder, hostage taking, riots, corruption. He will be kept in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security until October 26.
