Plant Quarantine Department comments on sending back export products from Russia to Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Reports about Russia's not allowing import of products from Kyrgyzstan are appearing online lately, but no official letters about such cases were sent to the Department of Plant Quarantine of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan, said Director of the Department Ilich Marsbek uulu.
There was not a single case of return of products from Russia to Kyrgyzstan in 2019, he said.
"We checked the Rosselkhoznadzor (Russian food watchdog) website, which says that exporters had no phytosanitary documents or certificates contained incorrect information. We looked into those cases and found out that our exporters having certificates for export of apples tried to export some other products too. Therefore, Rosselkhoznadzor found those certificates invalid. We asked exporters why they did this, they said because they had extra place in their trucks, so that's why they decided to bring some other products too," he said.
