Government holds meeting on public funding of educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Vice PM Altynai Omurbekova held a meeting on public funding issues of educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan on Sept 27, said the government. Omurbekova instructed the Education Ministry to create a working group, including representatives of the Finance Ministry, the Bishkek mayor's office, educational organizations and civil society.
The working group needs to reconsider the standard norms of funding for general educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan per student, on the basis of the current needs of general educational organizations, as well as develop a mechanism for financing small schools designed for 150 children.
