Over 400 people donate blood within World Blood Donor Day

AKIPRESS.COM - Over 400 people donated about 225 liters of blood at the National health promotion center on Sept 23-27 as a part of campaign on occasion of World Blood Donor Day, which is marked annually on the last Sunday of September. According to the doctors of the blood center, the blood of one donor may help 3 patients.
About 50-70 people donate blood per day, mainly there are relatives of patients. The equipment for obtaining blood is sterile and disposable, there is no risk of contamination, the statement said.
