Senate ratifies agreement between Kazakhstan and Russia on procedure of border crossing

AKIPRESS.COM - The Senate of the Kazakh Parliament ratified a protocol on amendments to the agreement between Kazakhstan and Russia on the procedure of crossing the Kazakh-Russian state border by residents of bordering territories of the two countries, teh Senate reported. The current agreement requires from Kazakh citizens to have identity documents or passports and a certificate from citizens registration book while crossing the border.
The registration book of citizens of Kazakhstan was canceled since 2015. Therefore, the protocol obliges citizens to have passports and a document certifying on permanent residing registration at the border territory issued by relevant state body.
