Day of Kyrgyz language celebrated in Russia’s Yekaterinburg

Bishkek, Sept.24, 2019. /Kabar/. An evening, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of granting the Kyrgyz language the status of the state language, was held at the Yekaterinburg Library Center in Yekaterinburg, organized by the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Yekaterinburg, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
The event was attended by heads and representatives of the Ministry of International and Foreign Economic Relations of the Sverdlovsk Oblast, the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Yekaterinburg, Kyrgyzstan-Ural Sverdlovsk Oblast Public Organization, local diaspora organizations, as well as the Union of Writers of the Sverdlovsk Oblast, students from Kyrgyzstan, creative and scientific intellectuals of the Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia.
The evening included a video show and a quiz about Kyrgyzstan, reading the best essays about the country's famous personalities. Winners of the quiz and the best essays were awarded books of classics of Kyrgyz literature and other prizes of the Consulate General.
