President Berdimuhamedov pardons 868 convicts due to 28th anniversary of independence of country

AKIPRESS.COM - The President of Turkmenistan signed a decree pardoning 868 convicted citizens on the occasion of 28th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, which is annually marked on Sept 27, the official Turkmen media report.
According to the decree of the head of state, the pardoned convicts were released from the prisons and freed from additional punishment in the form of imposing a duty of residence in a certain locality.
Berdimuhamedov instructed heads of the districts, regions and towns, as well as officials to take all necessary measures for placement of pardoned citizens .
