Osh celebrates 30th anniversary of state language

Osh, Sept.20, 2019 /Kabar/. Today, Sept. 20 the Kyrgyz-Uzbek University in Osh hosted the event, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the state language.
Representatives of the Osh Mayor’s Office and the Osh City Council, representatives of the education sector and students took part in the event.
During the event, speakers called on all citizens of Kyrgyzstan to develop the state language.
In addition, a concert programme by cultural figures and a book exhibition were organized.
The State Language Day is celebrated in the country annually on Sept. 23 in honor of the adoption of the Law "On the State Language of the Kyrgyz SSR" by the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR in 1989.
This year Kyrgyzstan celebrates 30th anniversary of the state language.
