4 anthrax-infected people hospitalized in Zhambyl

AKIPRESS.COM - Four shepherds were hospitalized with anthrax in Zhambyl region, Informbureau reports.
The diagnosis was confirmed by laboratory examination. Patients came to the hospital with eruptions on bodies.
"The patients have direct contact with animals, work in one of the farms. All of them were taking part in slaughtering of the cattle. And 7-10 days after that they started complaining on these signs," employee of the Zhambyl regional infectious hospital Gulfaira Mirzabekova said.
According to doctors, those infected sought medical aid on time. Anthrax just started damaging the organism. They will be treated at least ten days, they said.
Local authorities are not going to quarantine in the village of Shakpak, where the patients were infected. No anthrax cases were registered among cattle, they claim.
