Kyrgyz-Tajik border situation is stable: Border Service

AKIPRESS.COM - Over 50 people gathered on Tort-Kocho site of Aksai village council of the Batken region and expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that Tajik side began construction works on the border section on Sept 14, Turmush reports. Kyrgyz side demanded to stop uncoordinated work in indescribable area during the meeting with border representatives of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Units of the Border Service of Kyrgyzstan work in an enhanced mode in border areas prone to conflicts in order to avoid escalation of the situation, the statement said.
An awareness raising campaign was conducted among the population of the border regions. Currently, the situation in the current section of state border is stable.
