Iranian interior minister visits Drug Enforcement Service of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Sept. 13, 2019 / Kabar /. Visiting Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli visited the Drug Enforcement Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic on Thuesday after signing the agreement on security cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Iran.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that during the meeting, the sides discussed current drug situation in Kyrgyzstan and Iran also exchanged views on its development trends and ways to solve them.
Iranian colleagues were interested in the positive experience of Kyrgyzstan in the fight against drugs, including a reduction in the number of drug addicts among women.
The sides also emphasized the need to strengthen international cooperation in order to counter new challenges and threats in the field of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
