Tourism Department not agree with WEF ranking data on Kyrgyzstan's competitiveness

AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Director of the Tourism Department of Kyrgyzstan Kyal Kenjematova at the round table discussion in Bishkek said that she does not agree with the data provided by World Economic Forum's ranking on Kyrgyzstan's competitiveness.
According to her, the WEF placed Kyrgyzstan on 110th position in its ranking of tourism competitiveness.
Kenjematova said that Kyrgyzstan in the first half of this year was attended by 3.5 million people, which was 500 people more than in January-June 2018.
The share of tourism makes 5% and the investment capital amounted to 25 million som, she noted.
She said that this year, a tourism development program until 2023 has been adopted to increase GDP, investment and a reputation of Kyrgyzstan in the international rankings.
