AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Kazakhstan Birzhan Nurymbetov said employees of the Chinese oil company M Tekhservice have been protesting over the past days demanding to raise their salaries, Sputnik Kazakhstan reported.
"They are protesting for 5-6 days. The leadership of the company first agreed to raise the salaries by 65%. The protocol has been made, but it was not signed. Today we are working, local labor inspection and the regional administratiion are dealing with this issue," he said.
The Minister said that about 200 workers are dissatisfied with salaries.
"This is their right to demand salaries from the employer. They should come to a consensus via dialogue," he noted.
To date, the JSC M Tekhservice is working as normally, all employees are at work. However, the conflict has not been resolved yet, the Minister added.
