Supreme Court postpones consideration of ex-Prosecutor General Aida Salyanova's case

AKIPRESS.COM - The Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan postponed consideration of ex-Prosecutor General Aida Salyanova's case based on newly revealed circumstances from September 5 to September 24 because of the absence of the reader of the report, her attorney Chinara Jakupbekova said.
All court levels upheld a 5-year suspended sentence for Aida Salyanova. She must be put in jail when her daughter, born in July 2015, turns 14. Salyanova was found guilty of power abuse during her tenure as Justice Minister.
She illegally extended attorney license for Alexey Yeliseev in 2010, authorities said.
