Uzbekistan exported 71.8 million m3 of natural gas to Tajikistan

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan exported 71.8 million m3 of natural gas to Tajikistan since year start for $9.8 million, according to the report of the Ministry of Economic Development of Tajikistan.
Today, the main consumers of Uzbek gas in Tajikistan are industrial enterprises, including Tajik Aluminum Company, which accounts for about 80% of the total consumption.
Gas imports were suspended for over 6 years in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan started exporting gas to its neighbor in April 2018.
