Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, UN representative discuss preventive diplomacy in Central Asia

AKIPRESS.COM - Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov received Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Central Asia and Head of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia Natalya German, the press service of the Ministry reported.
The sides discussed regional cooperation in the field of peace and security, fight against terrorism, water and energy cooperation, strengthening potential of preventive diplomacy.
Natalya German praised the efforts of Kazakhstan in terrorism fighting, in particular humanitarian operation "Zhusan" on repatriation of citizens of Kazakhstan from Syria.
The UN representative also briefed on new initiaties of the Regional Center aimed at supporting active participation of women and youth in the process of preventing and resolution of conflicts of peace making.
