Kashkadarya region police chief receives $1,000 bounty from government after he rejected $1,400 bribe

AKIPRESS.COM - Kashkadarya region police department chief Raim Sidikov was awarded $1,000 bounty after he rejected $1,400 bribe. At a ceremony in Kashkadarya region on September 2, local police officers were awarded for their bravery and courage in work on occasion of the 28th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence, Daryo.uz reports.
Another police officer Uktam Ahmedov was also offered 400,000 soums bribe in exchange for concealment of the crime by perpetrators, but did not accept it. He was awarded 800,000 soums.
