Iran invests more than $8.2 million for construction of modern meat processing plant in Almaty region

AKIPRESS.COM - A modern meat processing plant Empire Food has been unveiled in Jambyl district of Almaty region on August 31, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reported. The opening ceremony of the plant was attended by Minister of Agriculture Saparkhan Omarov, Ambassador of Iran Majid Samadzadeh Saber and Consul of Iran Hamidrez Arshad.
The volume of investment in the project amounted to 3.2 billion tenge ($8,237,600.00). Construction of the complex started in September 2016. The capacity of the plant is 1,000 heads of sheep and 120 heads of cattle in a shift.
As a pilot regime, 332 tons of meat and meat products were produced in the plant. 73 tons of the products were exported to Iran and the Persian Gulf countries.
