Airlines overvalue prices for tickets on weekends and holidays — Minister of Industry of Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstani airline companies are increasing prices much for tickets during the weekends and holidays, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Roman Sklyar said, Tengrinews.kz reported. According to him, the Ministry has no authority to directly influence the pricing of tickets of private companies.
"It is necessary to deal with first of all regulation of prices during the peak data, when the airline companies essentially increase prices on weekends and holidays taking advantage of a dynamic pricing," he noted.
Sklyar said that the Ministry is in talks with the airlines and promised to regulate this issue.
During the President's address to the nation on September 2, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev touched the issue of high prices for air tickets.
