Museum opens in Cholpon-Ata horse racetrack

AKIPRESS.COM - A museum was opened in Cholpon-Ata horse racetrack, said Director of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve of Issyk-Kul district Gulum Alymkojoyeva.
The museum was supposed to be opened on the second floor as part of the construction of the racetrack, she said. It was decided to open it this year with the support of the museum of Cholpon-Ata.
The exhibition "Kyrk Kyz" opened in the museum. "The main goal is to popularise national horse-racing games among the population and to show foreign tourists the unique features of the Kyrgyz people. The museum presents works by Askat Chonbashev, who were awarded a gold medal at the exhibition in Moscow. Two years ago, an exhibition dedicated to Jeti-Ake was organized. Jeti-Ake's instructions were embroidered on felt products," she said.
Head of the district Danir Imanaliyev took part in the opening ceremony of the museum. The mobile exhibition will work in the museum for a month.
