Uzbekistan participates in National Geographic Traveler Awards 2019 contest

Tashkent, Aug.29, 2019. /Kabar/. Uzbekistan is participating in the National Geographic Traveler Awards 2019 contest in the "Discovery of the Year" nomination.
The press service of the Uzbek State Committee for Tourism Development, this prestigious international award was established by the Russian application of the famous National Geographic magazine.
Online voting takes place from June 29 to Oct. 12, 2019 inclusive, in 24 main categories. Receiving the National Geographic Traveler Award is considered very prestigious in the world of international tourism.
In this nomination, Uzbekistan has so far won 22% of the vote, yielding the first place to Armenia with 44%. Romania ranks third with 17%, while Taiwan and Oman share fourth and fifth places with 9%.
Note that, last year Uzbekistan took the first place in this competition in the "Gastronomic Tourism" nomination.
