Health Ministry of Kazakhstan appeals to General Prosecutor's Office over fake commercial of drug

AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan has sent a request to the General Prosecutor's Office of the country to deal with authors of a fake information about a quota for privileged drug for hypertensive patients with comments of the Minister Elzhan Birtanov, InformBureau reports. The Ministry earlier on August 8 rejected the information about alleged adoption of law obliging the Ministry to allocate quota to all citizens of Kazakhstan above 30 years for spreading privileged drugs for treatment of hypertensive patients. However, the Minister of Health Birtanov on Facebook told that he had been "tagged" due to the fake comments for people with hypertension and blood pressure, which was published on behalf of him.
The Minister in this regard made a statement that the article about quota for privileged drug "Carditonus" is fake and all information spread on websites and Internet portals does not correspond to the reality.
Birtanov also added that all drugs with the proved clinical efficiency are listed in the national drug form of Kazakhstan. Most of them are free of charge on prescription of the doctor, he noted.
Birtanov said the Ministry asked the General Prosecutor's Office to deal with the scammers.
