Atambayev's arrest considered at National Security Committee

AKIPRESS.COM - The building of the National Security Committee is hosting a court proceeding to consider the arrest of ex-President Almazbek Atambayev.
His wife Raisa Atambayeva, his son Kadyr Atambayev and other close relatives and associates are there to support Atambayev.
Attorney Sergei Slesarev said the defense team will demand Atambayev's release.
Atambayev was detained on August 8 during the storming of his house in Koi-Tash village. He was taken into custody until August 26 on charges of corruption, organization of mass riots, organization of murder, hostage-taking and other.
