Deputy Interior Minister Kursan Asanov sacked for betrayal of police interests and loss of trust

AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Interior Minister, Major General of Police Kursan Asanov was sacked by Prime Minister Muhamedkaliy Abilgaziyev, the Interior Ministry's press office said.
He was sacked for betrayal of police interests and loss of trust following the official investigation into his direct functional duties to prevent mass riots and ensure the protection of public order on August 7-8. The event was aimed at force bringing of ex-President Almazbek Atambayev for interrogation.
The results of the official investigation were transferred to the General Prosecutor's Office for giving judicial assessment.
