Incumbent GKNB chief says ex-GKNB chief bumped his leg while running away

AKIPRESS.COM - None of the injured people during the August 7 storming of Atambayev's house had gunshot wounds, National Security Committee Chairman Orozbek Opumbayev said at a news conference in Bishkek August 13.
"Segizbayev [Abdil Segizbayev, ex-Chairman of the National Security Committee] played dying and said that he had a gunshot wound to his leg, but nobody shot him. He was running away and hit his leg into something. He has a bruise," Opumbayev said.
On August 7 during storming of Atambayev's house, Abdil Segizbayev was brought to hospital with a leg wound.
Ex-President Almazbek Atambayev was detained by police on August 8 and charged with corruption after second storming of his house in Koi-Tash. The first storming by SWAT soldiers on August 7 left dozens injured and 1 law enforcement officer dead.
