Russia hopes for peaceful resolution of political crisis in Kyrgyzstan – Foreign Ministry

AKIPRESS.COM - Russia hopes the political disagreements between former President Atamayev and incumbent President Jeenbekov will be overcome peacefully, Foreign Miistry's spokesperson Maria Zaharova said during a briefing at the youth forum, tass.ru reports. "We hope the exacerbated political disagreements will be resolved peacefully in line with the Consitution and the effective legislation," Maria Zaharova stated.
Atambayev was detained on August 8 in his residence in Koi-Tash village. He was taken into custody until August 26.
