President not accept resignation of SCNS Chairman Orozbek Opumbayev

President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov did not accept resignation of the Head of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan Orozbek Opumbayev. The Head of State stated during an extraordinary parliamentary meeting.
According to him, Orozbek Opumbayev really came to him with notice of resignation. However, it was not accepted.
"Actions of Almazbek Atambayev went beyond the law. Some people were injured, one serviceman of special forces died. Of course, his life is above all wealth. I express my condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased. I talked to his mother at Mekendeshter forum recently. My heart hurts, too. Special forces used only rubber bullets till the end. We did not want bloodshed. Orozbek Opumbayev said today that he wanted to resign. I did not accept his resignation, because it is the easiest thing to do at such a difficult time. After stabilization of the situation, we will consider the responsibility of the security forces," Sooronbai Jeenbekov said.
