President Mirziyoyev slams region governors for violent demolishing of houses

AKIPRESS.COM - "We won't achieve any progress with policy of violence. If this method had worked, we would have used it 30 years ago. This is lack of culture what is happening now," President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said and ordered the governors of the regions, where houses were demolished massively causing outrage of locals, to invite bloggers for a meeting and answer all questions. The President slammed the governors of three regions during a videoconference on August 2 in Tashkent, Gazeta.uz reports.
The President called the governors of Kashkadarya and Ferghana regions traitors, who discredited him.
"We have eradicated the child labor. Nobody is talking about this now, but all say instead that the President gave the task to demolish houses, making people discontent. I gave money for renewal of Rishtan meeting needs of people," the President said.
The President told Ferghana region governor Shuhrat Ganiev to break his head instead of demolishing houses of people.
After their houses were demolished despite protests, people had to stay in tent camps without receiving compensations for their houses.
